About Us

Introducing WaggyDogz – created at Christine Varley Studio.

Launched in 2013, our dog breed gift range features the beautiful watercolour paintings by Pet Portrait artist Christine Varley. We are a family run business; everyone gets involved here, including the dogs! The name ‘WaggyDogz’ was an inspiration from Christine’s very excitable Springer Spaniel, called Molly… who had the ‘waggiest’ tail ever… when she greeted you, her whole body would wag! A very much missed member of our team, now chasing bunnies in the sky.

‘My paintings are like my friends, each with their own characters…
…It’s so exciting to see them on display in a spinner full of cards’.

You will find the most popular dog breeds in the WaggyDogz range, but also some of the more unusual dog breeds, selected from a vast portfolio of work. We started with Greetings Cards calling them ‘WaggyDogz Art Cards’  …cards designed to be kept and to be framed. Featuring images with the most expressive eyes and very popular with both our trade and retail customers. Initially a Dogs Trust charity card, now we support Guide Dogs, with a donation from the sale of each card. Recently we raised enough money to support our first guide dog through training with Ruby, a black Labrador. We wish her every success in qualifying and as assistance dog with her new owner. WaggyDogz card sales continuing to raise money for our next Guide Dog puppy to train.

Following the success of the cards, the range has expanded into other gifts for dog lovers. Mugs, Keyrings, Coasters, Tote bags, Cushions, Prints and more. We supply trade as well as selling direct to the public with annual exhibitions at Spring Fair and Crufts. Our distribution is widening, with stockists increasing across UK as well as in Europe, the USA and other parts of the world. Products have found themselves in some interesting locations including …on the sofa with Jessica Innes, in scenes on Coronation St and on a Harrods bags.
